Description

The National Trust's Survey of Stowe undertaken in 1989 makes reference to the various drives that were developed to give views of the house and the surrounding designed landscape. The Heyway was the original road and probably ran somewhat to the east of the present path overlooking the small stream, now the River Styx (B18).
