Monument record: 0037200000 BURY FARM, AMERSHAM (Monument)Remains of a possible second century Roman villa recorded in a sewer trench at Bury Farm and subsequent excavation trenching - A Roman villa was partially excavated in 1973. The site was badly eroded but some wall foundations remained. Evidence for first century occupation was provided by a scatter of Belgic pottery. Third century Romano-British pottery, samian ware, roof tiles, floor tiles, hypocaust tile and painted plaster was also found.

Baths and two Tessellated pavements were discovered along with tesserae, building material and tiles (floor, flue and roof).
