Description

Manor first mentioned in 1482 when Robert Bardsey died seised of Loakes Manor. Attached to Honour of Wallingford. Held sometime in C16 or C17 by families of Astbrook, Jackson & Archdale. From 1638 followed descent of Temple Wycombe manor (B4).
