Description
Ancient irregular building. Built early C17, considerably enlarged by Lord Shelburne (B1).
Wycombe Abbey built on the site in 1795 incorporating parts of the old house (B3).
No trace of Loakes manor house in fabric of Wycombe Abbey. No local knowledge of earlier house (B6).

The Manor House of Loakes, built in the early 17th century was enlarged and much improved by Lord Shelburne. (B16)
Wycombe Abbey, built in 1795 stands on the site of the ancient manor house (of Loakes). (B4)

There is no trace of the Manor House of Loakes in the fabric of Wycombe Abbey, now a school, and no local knowledge of the earlier house. (B17)
