Description

Grade II. Early C19, by James Wyatt as one of the entrances to Wycombe Abbey. Neo Gothic style. Ashlar with battlemented parapets and screen walls. Lodge has single storey north wing with porch, 2 storey south wing with octagonal turret and modern brick and Welsh slate addition. Thick pointing with flint garretting. Gateway 4 centred chamfered arch under panel with achievement of arms. Flanking smaller similar arches. Buttresses, inner pair with offsets. Short screen wall connecting with lodge, long north west curving screen wall with 2 turrets.(B7).
