Test pits excavated at Manor Farm

Aerial photographs and field survey of village which shows it was once much larger. Deserted Medieval settlement, now reduced to two farms. There are now no clear desertion remains, earthworks that were formerly visible having been ploughed out.

A large quantity of medieval pottery was recovered from a shovel test pit excavated within the orchard at the back of The Roses.
