Description

30 HAND AXES FROM TAPLOW, NO CLOSER PROVENANCE. AT BCM (B1-3).
SEVERAL MUSEUMS POSSESS PALAEOLITHIC HAND-AXES JUST MARKED TAPLOW. PROBABLY THEY CAME FROM THE STATION PIT, BUT LYNCH HILL TERRACE GRAVEL EXISTS IN THE PARISH, SO THEY MUST BE REGARDED WITH CAUTION (B4).
