Monument record: 0210200000 SOUTH OF BOVENEY VILLAGE Area 6: settlement (Monument)An Early Neolithic midden, four Bronze Age ring-ditches, Bronze Age settlement and a Roman style burial - A possible Prehistoric or Roman settlement, comprising an enclosure, hut circle, pits and boundary ditches, is visible as cropamrks on aerial photographs. The enclosure, which may be double ditched is rectilinear and measures 75m by 70m and has an entrance in its south east corner. It appears to have been recut on two sides. Within this enclosure is a hut circle and some pits. To the east and south of the enclosure are perpendicular ditched boundaries which may be parts of other enclosures. Two perpendicular rows of pits are situated immediately south of the enclosure but the relationship, if any, between the two features is not clear. Excavated in advance of the construction of Eton Rowing Course
