MARKET EST. 1227, PURCHASED BY EARL OF GLOUCESTER FROM KING C1260 (B1).
MARKET HOUSE, ANCIENT TIMBER BUILDING (1797) (B2).
AT END OF C18 THOMAS WILLIAMS INTENDED TO REPLACE OLD TIMBER MARKET BY A MORE MODERN BUILDING. BUILDING COMPLETED IN 1807 BY HIS SON (SEE 01:000). OLD BUILDING WAS FREE-STANDING (B3).
