WATCHING BRIEF AND TWO 2-DAY SALVAGE EXCAVATIONS CARRIED OUT IN APRIL 1987 IN 2 AREAS OF FORMER COLLEGE SITE LOCATED ARCHAEOLOGICAL FEATURES INCLUDING A SAXON SUNKEN FLOORED BUILDING & IRON AGE, ROMAN & MED DITCHES/GULLIES. ALSO POSSIBLE MEDIEVAL BUILDING. NUMEROUS BOUNDARIES - MEDIEVAL ONES MAY RELATE TO THOSE TO SOUTH (CAS 5500) (FULL EXCAVATION REPORT & SITE ARCHIVE)(B1).
