Plan Form - LINEAR
SITE WAS BOUNDED ON SW SIDE BY A U-SHAPED DITCH (1.2M WIDE, 0.36M DEEP) OF LATER MEDIEVAL DATE. ALIGNED PARALLEL TO LATE SAXON DITCHES. ANOTHER PARALLEL DITCH. 1ST DITCH CUT THROUGH A LARGE RECTANGULAR FEATURE, A SHALLOW SCOOP CONTAINING BURNT CLAY, CUT BY 2 POSTHOLES. PERHAPS FLOOR OF BUILDING?, BUT NO WALLS (B1).
