ROMAN PHASE OF SITE: 1 MAJOR FEATURE, A LARGE LINEAR DITCH. ONLY A SMALL SECTOR EXCAV. ALIGNED 45 DEGREES TO LIA DITCH. 2ND DITCH (1.15 WIDE X 0.4M DEEP) SURFACE PLANNED, FORMING JUNCTION WITH 1ST. ALSO UNDATED SHALLOW GULLY, ROMAN? MAIN DITCH A SETTLEMENT ENCLOSURE?, BUT LITTLE POTTERY & NO STRUCTURES (B1).
