Description

Parish survey (B1).
Negative watching brief reports (B2, B8, B10).
Negative geophysics survey (B12).
Research notes on witchert building techniques (B4).
Historic Environment Assessment (B9).
A survey of pre-1900 domestic houses in this parish suggests that the pattern of surviving buildings has resulted primarily from a combination of geology, particularly in relation to witchert dwellings, and an increase in population during the 19th century, leading to demolition of older timber-framed houses (B11).
