Description

William son of Constantine holds 1 virgate of land and 6 acres in Southcote and Sweeting from him. Land for 1/2 plough. The value is and always was 6s. Wulfric, Archbishop Stigand's man, held this land; he could sell (B1).
Lipscombe believed that Southcote was at Sedrup (see CASS 02057), whilst George Gurney believed that it was at Bishopstone (see CAS 00689).
NGR to Bishopstone.
