SECTION ON N SIDE OF TRENCH 29 SHOWED LEVEL STONY LAYER, 1 STONE THICK,10CM BELOW TURF. FROM 10CM TO 35CM THERE WAS STONY LOAM, & BELOW THIS, NATURAL GRAVEL INTO WHICH WAS CUT A DITCH, TO DEPTH OF 80CM BELOW TURF. EXTENT & DIRECTION NOT DETERMINED, & NO CLEAR STRATIFICATION.(BI1-2)
