1086 HELD BY ROGER, FOLLOWED BY BOLBECS & TURVILLES. 1197 SUBINFEUDATED TO MERTON PRIORY, WITH PART GOING TO WILLIAM PISCATOR (CASS 01442: AMERDEN). AFTER DISSOLUTION TAPLOW WENT TO HONOUR OF WINDSOR. 1635 SOLD TO HAMPSONS, 1700 TO EARLS OF ORKNEY & 1852 TO GRENFELLS (B1-2).
