Description

Prefab house, one of 46 built at Finch Lane, Amersham, was intended to provide only temporary housing. In fact it was occupied for forty years until the site was redeveloped for permanent housing in 1987. It was a 'Universal House, mark 3' manufactured in nearby Rickmansworth. Donated by Chiltern District Council and rebuilt at the Chiltern Open Air Museum from 1992-1993 (B5).
