46 prefab houses built at Finch Lane, Amersham, intended to provide only temporary housing. In fact the houses were occupied for forty years until the site was redeveloped for permanent housing in 1987. One of the houses, a 'Universal House, mark 3' manufactured in nearby Rickmansworth was rebuilt at the Chiltern Open Air Museum in 1992-3 (B5).
