Description
THE OS CARD (1973) SAYS THAT THE ONLY EARTHWORKS VISBLE ON DENHAM HILL ARE A SERIES OF ESCARPMENTS OF A MINOR MEDIEVAL SETTLEMENT ON SW SLOPES OF THE HILL (B2).
HOWEVER, LIPSCOMB (1847) REFERED TO 'FAINT LINES OF ENTRENCHMENTS OR MILITARY EARTHWORKS' (B1).

"On Denham or Dundon Hill (Name SP 759208), are faint lines of entrenchments or military earthworks. Many human bones have been dug up at Denham at various times, but not a vestige has been found of arms, weapons, coins, or utensils." (B3 and B4).
The only earthworks visible on Denham Hill are a series of escarpments of a minor medieval settlement on the south west slopes of the hill. (See SP 72 SE 6) (B5).
