Description

A small stretch (0.72m) of brick wall 0.38m wide and aligned northeast-southwest was recorded during a watching brief carried out by OAU in April 1998. The wall was constructed of red and glazed (?vitrified) brick in Flemish bond, and survived to 0.17m (4 courses) above the off-set foundation. The upper course comprised coping bricks. Interpreted as a grave surround or part of a mausoleum structure (B18).
