Description

Traces of very degraded ridge and furrow noted during walk-over survey carried out in May 1997 (B3).
Following the identification of cropmarks during a walk-over survey, geophysical survey was carried out by GeoQuest in March 1999 in advance of proposed development of a service station on the M40. Magnetic anomalies suggestive of medieval ridge and furrow were identified (B1). Further geophysical survey in March and April 1999 confirmed that the ridge and furrow extended into the area to the north of the original survey area (B2).
