Description

Series of circular vegetation marks noted during walkover survey carried out by A Josephs of Wardell Armstrong in May 1997 (B3).
Following the identification of cropmarks during a walk-over survey, geophysical survey was carried out by GeoQuest in March 1999 in advance of proposed development of a service station on the M40. Three weak sub-circular positive anomalies were identified, interpreted as the remains of ring ditches, 6-10m diameter (B1).
Further analysis of the original data resulted in the identification of a further three very weak positive magnetic anomalies in the south-east of the survey area, also interpreted as possible ring ditches (B2).
