Plan Form - L SHAPED
HOMESTEAD MOAT, FRAGMENT (B1).
L-SHAPED FEATURE AT NGR (B2).
EVALUATION OF MOATED SITE SHOWED THAT THE SURVIVING L-SHAPED POND IS PART OF A LARGER FEATURE. NO EVIDENCE FOR MEDIEVAL ACTIVITY OR SETTLEMENT WAS FOUND, SO MAYBE THE 'MOAT' WAS A FISHPOND OR ORNAMENTAL POND OF POST-MEDIEVAL DATE (REPORT)(B4).
