Description

S OF THE MOAT A GROUP OF POST-MEDIEVAL FEATURES WAS LOCATED DURING EVALUATION TRIAL TRENCHING AND TEST PITTING CARRIED OUT BY BCMAS IN JUNE AND JULY 1993. A SERIES OF DITCHES, A GULLY & A SMALL PIT, ALL PRODUCING C17/EARLY C18 POTTERY SUGGESTING A DWELLING OF THIS PERIOD IN THE VICINITY. THE MID C18 SAW DEVELOPMENT OF THE FARMYARD, WITH A COMPLEX OF BARNS (SEE REPORT)(B4).
