Description

Dimensions - Width 300cm, Length 450cm.
Plan Form - Rectangular.
WHOLE PLAN OF KILN 2 SURVIVED. RECTANGULAR BRICK FIRING CHAMBER. USED FLUE OF KILN 1 AS WICKET. OUTER WALLS OF THIN BRICK & FLOORED WITH RADIALLY-LAID BRICKS. FUNNEL-SHAPED FLUE & STOKE-PIT OFF-CENTRE IN SOUTH WALL. NO EAST WALL FOUND - DEMOLISHED AFTER FIRING TO ALLOW EMPTYING & LOADING? (B1).
