Description

CERAMIC FROM KILN 2 WAS LATE C15/16 & INCLUDED LARGE JARS, PANCHEONS, JUGS & BUNG-HOLE PITCHERS. SAGGARS WERE USED TO FIRE SMALL JUGS & CISTERCIAN-TYPE CUPS. NB; DESIGN OF KILN 2 WAS ACTUALLY THAT OF A ROOF TILE KILN, BUT ROOF TILE (INCLUDING CRESTED RIDGE TILES) FAR OUTNUMBERED BY POT WASTERS (B1).
