Description

IN 1264-5, CIRENCESTER ABBEY MADE A LIFE GRANT OF (BOYCOTT?) MILL TO BIDDLESDEN ABBEY (B1).
NGR TO POSSIBLE SITE OF MILL, C500M ESE OF BOYCOTT FARM.
FOR AN ALTERNATIVE SITE, SEE CASS 05213.
The National Trust Survey fo Stowe undertaken in 1989 makes reference to Boycott Mill and suggests that this is the more likely location of the mill (B4).
