Description

MEDIEVAL USE OF THE SITE WAS REPRESENTED BY RUBBISH & CESS PITS. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE FOR LATE SAXO N ACTIVITY AND THE MIDDLE SAXON CEMETERY HAD GONE OUT OF USE BEFORE THE PITS WERE DUG. NO SIGN OF BU ILDINGS OR PROPERTY BOUNDARIES, BUT THIS AREA IS I NTERPRETED AS BEING THE BACKS OF HOUSE PLOTS.BI 01
