Brewery N of church, probably built C16, refaced in C18/C19 in brick. Owned by Weller family 1772 to C20. Chimney stack of C16 brick, arched panels. House has C16 fireplace, brewery offices also C16 but rebuilt (B2,B3).
Brewhouse apparently erected in 1735 by Sir William Drake and bought by William Weller in 1775. A storehouse was subsequently added and stables and a carpenters shop were built after 1810. A new malting was built in 1829 and the brewery was refaced in brick. The bottling plant was closed in 1914. Wellers sold the business to Benskins in 1929, who dismantled the plant and sold the brewery and maltings in 1930, retaining the 142 tied public houses (B6).

Sir William Drake was fined 5 shillings in 1735 for illegally erecting a brewhouse on the present brewery site, although this may have only involved a change of use and alterations to an existing 16th century building, possibly the malt mill documented in 1504. Presumably at some point in the 1760s Drake sold the Brewery to the Hunt family, as William Weller, a maltster from High Wycombe signed the lease to the brewery in Amersham owned by the Hunt family in about 1771. William extended the brewery and acquired a number of tied houses. When William died in 1802 he was succeeded by his two sons John and William. They extended the brewery in 1810-1812 and increased the number of tied houses. The business continued to be passed down through the Weller family, with continued expansion in the number of tied houses. By 1850 the brewery had become one of the biggest employers in Amersham, with 57 employees. In 1929 George Weller put the Brewery up for auction. It was sold to Benskins Watford Brewery and later closed. Later uses for the brewery site have included a perfume factory. Now the site is in use as offices, workshops and housing.
