SAUNDERTON INCLOSURE MAP SHOWS FIELD IN WHICH MOAT &C IS SITUATED TO BE CALLED 'BROWNS'. SINCE SITE HAS BEEN INTERPRETED AS A MOATED MANOR SITE [CAS 00307:01], IT SEEMS REASONABLE TO SUPPOSE IT REPRESENTS THE SITE OF BROWN'S MANOR (B4-5).
