Hut circle

A hut circle is the term applied to traces left by a circular building, common to the Bronze and Iron Ages. These traces can include a circular depression, a circular bank and evidence of foundations such as stone courses, stake holes and postholes. Examples of hut circles were excavated at Boveney and at Stoke House Farm in Stoke Hammond.
