Roman pottery

The fragmentary cropmarks of two possible Iron Age or Roman enclosures west of Goddard's Wood are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2004.

A later Prehistoric or Roman probable settlement site is visible as cropmarks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2004. The site comprises incomplete but overlapping irregularly shaped ditched enclosures and ditch defined trackways. The cropmarks extend over an area that measures circa 160m long by 125m wide although the site may continue southwards, beyond the edge of the arable field.
