Description

During renovation work, N room on 1st floor was found to have a virtually intact pre-reformation wall painting of a repeating geometrical scheme of painted decoration in black & white (further description & illus). Dating revised following the discovery of an identical wall painting probably by the same artist in a 16th century building at Albany, near Tring (B7).
