Where Viatores Route 166 is supposed to run through Maids Moreton from Avenue Road west to Chackmore, it is possible that this is based on Parliamentary enclosure. The pre-enclosure All Souls College Estate Map of 1595 showing this area shows little trace of a straight alignment (B4).
