C7 BROOCH FOUND AT EDGE OF PLOUGHED FIELD, AT FOOT OF STEEP BANK (NGR). NOT FOUND IN SITU? HAD COME DOWN SLOPE FROM SW OR SE? THEREFORE POSSIBILITY OF EROSION FROM ADJACENT CEMETERY SHOULD BE CONSIDERED, THOUGH A MORE LIKELY SPOT IS THE DISTINCT RIDGE C100M TO N - A CLASSIC CEMETERY LOCATION (B1).
