BROOCH FOUND AT EDGE OF PLOUGHED FIELD. DATED C7. IS FLAT; HAS CROSS DESIGN WITH EXPANDED TERMINALS, IN WHICH ARE SET GLASS/GARNETS. ?CABUCHON STONE MISSING FROM CENTRAL MOUNTING. SERPENT ORNAMENT IN SPACES. POSSIBLY NOT IN SITU; SITE IS ON CHALK, & BROOCH MAY HAVE COME DOWNSLOPE FROM SW/SE (B1).
