Description
CHARTERS RE.MISSENDEN ABBEY'S HOLDINGS IN ASHLEIGH, CHESHAM (B1).
Previously part of Chesham parish, the ecclesiastical parish of Ashley Green was formed in 1875, and the civil parish in 1897. In 1900 part of the parish was transferred back to Chesham. In 1905 the parish covered 3,291 acres, comprising 1,1557 acres of arable, 884 acres of pasture and 379 acres of woods and plantations B5).
