Plan Form - IRREGULAR
FIELD VISIT 1973 FOUND CODDIMOOR FARM & FIELD TO E TO BE ALMOST COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY A BANK & EXTERNAL DITCH, PROBABLY THE BOUNDS OF THE HERMITAGE/PRIORY. INFO & MAP ON CAS CARD (B4).
NB: IN C.1862 'IRREGULARITIES IN THE GROUND & FOUNDATIONS OF DEMOLISHED' BUILDINGS NOTED (B1).

A ditched and banked enclosure at SP80753287 is more than one kilometre in circuit, and surrounds the two fields in which Coddimoor Farm stands. This may represent a property boundary contemporary with a monastic cell which is alleged to be sited at this farm (B8).
