VERULAMIUM TO IVINGHOE BEACON ROAD. JUST SHORT OF RINGSHALL LODGE TURNS NW. SHOWN ON EARLY MAPS, ALIGNED ON IVINGHOE BEACON. AGGER VISIBLE FOR 1/2 MILE N OF PRESENT RINGSHALL-IVINGHOE BEACON ROAD. AT BEACON COINCIDES WITH GROUP OF PRE-EXISTING(?) BANKS AND DITCHES (B1).
NGR'S FROM MAPS IN B1 (B2).
Conjectured line of a Roman road identified in the 1960's, lacking substantiating evidence on the ground. The conjectured route runs from Verulamium to Ivinghoe Beacon, roughly parallel, but S of Watling Street (B5).
