Description

A WORKED PIECE OF PUDDINGSTONE, SUGGESTED BY DR E C CURWEN TO BE A MILLING STONE OF C.C1 AD(B1). FOUND AMONGST ROMAN ROAD METALLING AT NGR; MADE OF HERTFORDSHIRE CONGLOMERATE. NOW IN LUTON MUSEUM (ILLUS) (B3).
