Description

Medieval pottery industry known (B1).
Sherds, including wasters and kiln furniture found, in garden of The Warren by hedge near road (B2).
Fabric: smooth texture, very slightly sandy, usually off white. Often glazed green to honey. Unusual: some stamp decoration. Range of products (see 00:001-005) (B3).
Watching brief on site found no Medieval pottery, all sherds found ascribed to late C17 (see :01) (B4).
