Medieval village shrinkage is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in fields immediately W of Main Street South, Hillesden and centred at SP 68095 30051, an interconnected system of linear ditches form a series of rectilinear platforms and enclosures, within some of which are linear earthwork banks that may be the remains of dwellings. Some irregularly shaped pits and depressions may be former ponds and wider linear ditches may have formed hollow ways (8-10).

A complex of medieval hollow ways or trackways, boundary ditches, banks and platforms are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in fields N of Jubilee Farm House and centred at SP 468004 229928, the extensive village shrinkage earthworks extend over an area about 425 metres SW-NE and 215 metres NW-SE and comprises a network of interconnected linear ditches that may be trackways and hollow ways aligned NW-SE or NW-SW, forming a series of rectilinear and subrectangular ditched enclosures, some enclosing rectilinear and subrectangular earthwork platforms of various sizes, or linear sections of bank. Many of the enclosures contains blocks of ridge and furrow cultivation earthworks (11-14).
