Description

Plan Form - LINEAR
RESISITIVITY SURVEY LOCATED PROBABLE FORMER WATERCOURSES. MOST PRONOUNCED WAS A CURVING FEATURE UNDER SITE OF MILL HOUSE & PERHAPS ASSOCIATED WITH EARLIER MILL; BUT COULD BE ROMAN, ASSOCIATED WITH VILLA. 2ND WATERCOURSE PROBABLY ASSOCIATED WITH INTERNAL MILL WHEEL (FURTHER DETAIL)(B10). CULVERT EXCACATED (B11-14). EVIDENCE FOR SUCCESSIVE POST-MEDIEVAL TIMBER REVETTING OF BANKS IDENTIFIED AND FINDS AND ANIMAL BONE RETRIEVED FROM EXTANT LEAT. SEE EXCAVATION REPORT FOR DETAIL (B14).
