Description

ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXAMINATION OF ROUTE OF A421 IMPROVEMENT LOCATED TRACES OF 2 ROMAN BUILDINGS & SEVERAL DITCHES DATING FROM C1AD TO C4AD, SOME OF WHICH MAY BE PRE-CONQUEST. NO EVIDENCE OF ANY ROMAN ROADS WAS FOUND. GEOPHYSICAL & METAL DETECTOR SURVEYS ALSO UNDERTAKEN (SEE REPORT)(B3) (& SEE CASS 05922).
