Plan Form - CIRCULAR
HOLLOW 17M SW OF RINGWORK EXCAVATED. 1.4M DOWN CHALK WAS REACHED & SHAFT CUTTING THE CHALK FOUND, GOING DOWN 10M BEFORE BLOCKED BY A SARSEN. PROBING SHOWED SHAFT CONTINUED. PROB A WELL. 1.3M BELOW CHALK WERE 5 SMALL EQUIDISTANT HOLES FOR SUPPORTS?. 4 SKELETONS IN FILL (05:001), ANIMAL BONE (05:002) (B3-6).
