HOLLOW TRACKWAY (FEATURE 1) RUNNING EW. AVERAGE WIDTH 10M. SURFACE PARTLY OF CRUDE GRAVEL & LIMESTONE METALLING. GULLY CUT INTO ITS SURFACE CONTAINED NATIVE BRITISH POTTERY OF 1ST HALF C1 AD. AN ESTABLISHED RIVER CROSSING AT TIME OF ROMAN CONQUEST; DATE OF LAST USE UNKNOWN. NGR TO SITE CENTRE (B5).
