Description

OLD MANSION PULLED DOWN 1750. MR BERTIE CONVERTED A STABLE WING TO A DWELLING. WHOLE WAS REFRONTED 1769 & ADDITIONS MADE (B2).
LARGE BRICK MANSION OCCUPYING SITE OF BISHOPS PALACE (B7).
KNOWN AS WOOBURN HOUSE (B1).
Wooburn House, built in 1769. Red brick, five bays with two pedimented lightly projecting wings. Two storeys, hipped roof (B5).
AT NGR (B8).
DEMOLISHED 1963; PRESENT 'MANOR HOUSE' IS FORMER MANOR FARM (SU91378826)(B6).
