Description

REFERENCES TO A HOTHOUSE & COWHOUSE BUILT 1807-1812 OF BRICK, WHICH WAS MADE ON THE ESTATE IN A 'CROSS KILN' (B5).
Bryant's 1825 county map shows 'Brick and Lime Kilns' at approx NGR. Not shown on Jeffery's county map or on subsequent first edition OS 6-inch and 25-inch maps, although a cluster of old extraction pits are shown in this vicinity (B13).
