Description

MAP SHOWS HOUSE, PONDS & YARD EXTANT IN C18. PICTOGRAPH OF HOUSE SHOWS ?5 BAYS & CENTRAL CHIMNEYS (B1).
NOTED TO BE IN GOOD REPAIR (B2).
DRY MOATS, ANTIQUE BOX TREES ETC. SHOW MANSION WAS IMPORTANT. BIRTHPLACE OF JAMES HOLYMAN, 2ND BISHOP OF BRISTOL (B3).
DEMOLISHED ABOUT TIME OF HADDENHAM ENCLOSURE (B4).
The first edition OS map shows the farm as named 'Pratt's Farm'. The farm is also shown on Jeffrey's 1788 map and Bryant's 1825 map (B9).
