MANOR HAD BY 1416 ACQUIRED NAME OF CHESHAM BURY. MANOR HELD DURING C12 AND C13 OF KING IN CHIEF, IN 1252 WAS SUBINFEUDATED TO BRANCH OF SIFREWAST FAMILY. MANORIAL HISTORY (B3).
